Ways To Give
Support our bold efforts to foster self-determination and well-being for women, transgender and nonbinary people on their journey through and beyond homelessness. Your support – whether volunteering your time, contributing financially, or donating needed items – is critical to our efforts.
Join us in fostering a community where empowerment and self-determination shape the future.

Volunteer
Share your time, talents, and resources as a group or individual and be a part of our community of over 175 volunteers.
Without direct contact with participants, we offer many ways to create a caring space while respecting the privacy and confidentiality of those we serve.
-
Fill our greatest need by donating one or more homemade, nutritious meals. Warm, hearty family-style meals, offered every day we’re open to participants, make On The Rise feel like home and are central to creating community.
-
Help us prepare for the week on Mondays from 3:30 to 5:30 PM. Special group service days (up to 10 people) can be scheduled on alternate weekdays as our schedule allows.
Projects include:
Sorting and organizing clothing and toiletries
Restocking our kitchen
General grounds clean-up – garden work and handy work in and around the house
Preparation for special events
Other seasonal tasks

Organizing a drive with your company, school, religious organization, friends, family, or club allows participants to get needed toiletries and clothing depending on the season.
Drives usually last four to six weeks.
Promote your drive with emails, signs, social media posts, and announcements at your school, job, or organization.
Invite a Development Team member to speak about On the Rise and why these drives help participants.
